This is the Lab component of EET 102, Principles of AC Circuits. They must be taken concurrently.

 

 

 

 

 

 

   Hardware Requirements

  • Pentium 3 (1G) or greater PC or equivalent
  • Windows XP
  • 256 MB RAM (512  MB RAM recommended)
  • 100MB hard disk space(min.)
  • CD-ROM drive
  • 800x600 minimum screen resolution
  • 56 k Modem or faster 
  • Inexpensive Scientific Calculator

 
  Software Requirements

  • Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP
  • MultiSim Student Edition
  • Internet connection
  • Java capable Web browser
  • E-mail program that can use file attachments
  • MS Word® or compatible word processor

   Multisim 9 ® Student Edition costs $89 + $15 shipping.  Yes, I know it is expensive. But it is, IMHO,  the best electronics simulation software for the virtual laboratory experience.  There are other electronics simulators, such as PSpice® and CircuitMaker®, but the labs will be designed for Multisim ®. 9

   It would be nice to have a word processor, and maybe even a spreadsheet.  I use Office 2000 and 2003, MS Word® and Excel®.  Still more money.  There is a freeware program, Easy Office®, that will read and write MS Word and MS Excel files.  I installed it on one of my other machines and it will get the job done.  You can get Easy Office here. Or, you can use Open Office
