Associate in Applied Science Degree

at Union County College
Elizabeth, New Jersey

If it has moving parts and uses electricity, it's
 ELECTROMECHANICAL.

Electronics/Electromechanical Engineering Technology students are prepared in the skills and understanding necessary to install and service equipment which combines electronic, electrical and mechanical components.  Special emphasis is placed on computers, computer peripherals, robotics, automated manufacturing systems, programmable controllers and the operation of digital computers in automatic control systems.  A considerable portion of the allotted laboratory hours is devoted to learning and practicing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance procedures of electromechanical and electronic equipment.

Graduates from this program may have the option of entering a Bachelor of Science in Technology program in a number of New Jersey and out-of-state colleges or accepting positions as field service representatives or laboratory technicians with various local and national firms in the computer and electronics fields.
